In the evaluation meeting of the My Village Project, which was held at the Morogoro International Hotel, in the Morogoro Region, Greyson Mgoi, the communication manager of the Uwezo Tanzania, noted the success of the project.
Greyson said “Actually when we tested the students in their learning classes the situation was not good, but now all those involved have been able to develop their reading, writing, and arithmetic skills by more than 80%. Likewise, the teaching methods are left to the teachers, so other students outside of those classes continue to benefit from the learning methods that we Uwezo have enabled those teachers.”
Moreover, Mr. Mgoi called on all stakeholders of Education, especially the Government and non-governmental organizations, they are welcome to collaborate with Uwezo Tanzania to implement the My Village Project in various areas of the country, to help all children in the country, who cannot read, write and numeracy.

Floria Mtoi, the Chief Education Quality Controller of Primary Schools in Ludewa District in the Njombe Region, admits that the Uwezo Tanzania organization has better methods than the methods offered by teaching colleges in the country.
“The My Village project officially entered our District in 2019 by starting with five schools, the project did well and finally we were added to 20 schools in 2022 but we also asked to be added to another 20 schools in 2023″ Basically Uwezo, their teaching methods are easy for children to understand, different from the methods teachers are taught in Government colleges,” said Mtoi.
